I have chosen to follow the "Martini Groove" blog. The blog is all about liquor and related topics. It is interesting to me, and therefore, I will follow the blog to keep up with what is new and exciting in the liquor world. My experience with blogging for the class was... interesting... I had never blogged before, and was actually kind of nervous to do so. I am a shy person, and so I do not usually share my opinions with others, especially if they are negative. With blogging, however, it is all about sharing your opinion. I enjoyed the part where I had to find an article and tell about it. I also liked reading the comments to see what others thought of it. It allowed me to learn the current trends in fine dining and it allowed me to see what others had to say about topics I found interesting. I hated sharing my opinions though, and I even skipped it a few times. I didnt like judging someone based on their article and found that often times I didnt agree with what they posted. I learned a lot about fine dining trends and I also learned that I can learn a lot from my peers based on what they posted and what their comments were. I think blogging probably wont be useful in my career; at least not all of it. For example, the blog "Martini Groove," which I will be following, will be helpful in gaining knowledge about the current trends in the beverage industry, but I will not leave any comments... so is that really blogging? Probably not. That is why I feel I will not use blogging as a tool in my career, but possibly as a "research tool."
